**Wreckage Found in Russian Far East, Passengers Still Wondering If Free Snacks Were Worth It**

In a bold new installment of “Lost: Not the TV Show,” Russian authorities announced today they have located the wreckage of a plane that mysteriously “took a shortcut through several glaciers” in the Russian Far East, carrying 48 passengers who are reportedly still deciding whether to file compensation claims or just chalk it up as an unusual vacation.

The ill-fated flight, operated by “Probably Not Going To Make It Airlines,” had been flying over a region known mostly for its ability to hide things that don’t want to be found. According to initial reports, the plane’s black box is still intact, but unfortunately the in-flight WiFi was lost midway through a particularly heated round of Candy Crush, rendering several passengers inconsolable.

Investigators say key clues were recovered at the scene, including 17 slightly used parachutes (thanks for nothing), three unopened bags of pretzels, and one copy of “Flying for Dummies”—sadly still in plastic wrap.

Survivors, if any, are believed to be successfully employing advanced Russian survival techniques: complaining loudly to nobody in particular, boiling tea over a polar bear’s campfire, and constructing rudimentary shelters out of the plane’s inadequate seat cushions.

Family members are relieved that the wreckage was found, mostly because they can now stop pretending they liked the “wish you were here” postcards.

In a statement, Russia’s Ministry of Icy Mishaps urged the public to remember the “three Rs” of aviation emergencies: Remain calm, Recycle complimentary headphones, and Remember that complaining to the pilot after the fact is generally considered counterproductive.

No word yet on whether the plane’s frequent flyer miles will be honored posthumously, but experts agree: the real journey was the friends we made along the way (and probably the snacks we hoarded).
