**Chuck E. Cheese Employee Arrested in Iconic Mouse Mask for Using Stolen Credit Card, Police Say**

In a pizza-stuffed plot twist straight out of Saturday morning cartoons, a Chuck E. Cheese employee was apprehended earlier this week for allegedly using a stolen credit card—while still wearing the company’s iconic mouse mascot mask.

The suspect, whose real name is believed to be Charles E. Rodent III (but police admit, “He wouldn’t take off the head”), was taken into custody after attempting to purchase 300 tokens, seven pepperoni pizzas, and 42 plastic spider rings—all charged to a platinum Visa belonging to a bewildered local dentist.

After noticing Cheese’s characteristically oversized head and a suspicious trail of pizza grease, police officers questioned “Chuck,” who allegedly tried to escape through the ball pit yelling, “I’m just here for a good time!” Security footage shows the Mouse pausing mid-escape to snag an unattended cup of Diet Pepsi.

Fellow employees voiced shock. “He always took his role seriously,” said one coworker. “But we thought the only thing he was stealing was the show.”

Management is scrambling to reassure parents the beloved family arcade is still “99.9% crime-free.” As one spokesperson explained, “If you see Chuck after hours near the prize counter, just assume he’s off duty—preferably without your credit card.”

Police have yet to determine whether the suspect acted alone or if accomplices—possibly Mr. Munch and Helen Henny—were involved. “We’re not ruling out a wider ring,” stated Lt. Penny Saver, “especially with so much skee-ball at stake.”

When asked why he did it, the suspect reportedly muttered, “These animatronics don’t tip themselves.”

Bail is set at five thousand tickets or a $300 cash equivalent. The legendary mask has been sent to a secure evidence locker, where detectives are investigating reports of faint, mechanical giggling late at night.
