BREAKING NEWS FROM MOGADISHU – Move over, almond milk. Step aside, oat milk. Somalia is taking the beverage world by storm with a frothy glass of… camel milk! In what government officials are now calling the “Camel Milk Revolution,” Somalis are chugging this local elixir in record numbers, sparking nutritional improvements and a boom in job opportunities – both for people and, reportedly, for exceptionally ambitious camels.

Once nothing more than a byproduct of chatting with your local camel on a lazy Sunday afternoon, camel milk has lately been promoted as a superfood. Local influencers are now spotted sipping on iced camel lattes while hashtagging #UdderlyAwesome and curating TikTok dances inspired by the notoriously grumpy camel temperament.

“I used to worry my kids weren’t getting their daily calcium,” says Sahra Ali, proud mother of five and professional camel milk connoisseur. “Now I just hand them a glass of camel milk and tell them it’s what made Spider-Man so strong. They even thank the camel afterward.”

Meanwhile, the camel job market is booming like never before. Somali camels are reportedly forming unions, demanding better grazing conditions and lobbying for holidays off during National Milking Week. One anonymous dromedary commented, “I was working part-time chewing cud, but now I’m in full-time lactation. Things are looking up—except when humans approach with those weird buckets.”

The government is so bullish on camel milk that rumors swirl about training camels as baristas. Soon, customers might be asked, “Would you like one hump or two in your latte?”

International observers suspect Somalia’s next revolutionary export could be camel cheese, camel yogurt, or maybe even camel ice cream – though taste-testers are still recovering from last year’s disastrous camel milk energy drink.

As for those skeptical of camel milk’s rise, just remember: if it’s good enough for a 1,000-pound desert survivor, it’s probably worth a try. Plus, you can finally say you tried the one drink Starbucks hasn’t ruined yet.
